The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois is pleased to present its 30th Anniversary Gala: 30 Years, 30 Leaders on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at Fischer’s Restaurant in Belleville. Dinner will be served and a cash bar will also be available.
This will be a high profile event that will attract the Center’s supporters, area legislators, and members of the community at large. We hope that you will join us for an evening of great food, good conversation, and a celebration of 30 of the Center’s volunteer supporters throughout our history…all while knowing you are making a difference to victims of domestic violence in our community.
Domestic violence is a pervasive social problem. You need not look any further than the nightly news to be reminded of how common domestic violence is. Imagine for a moment that you or someone you love is forced to flee their home due to domestic violence, alone and terrified with no place to turn. The Violence Prevention Center is here to help; in fact, we helped more than 1,700 of your family members, friends, neighbors and coworkers last year alone. These brave women, men and children were provided with access to a 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling, advocacy and education. All of these life-saving services were provided free of charge.
You can help us ensure that these free services are available to those who need them by supporting the 30th Anniversary Gala: 30 Years, 30 Leaders. You can choose the participation level that best suits your needs. Event sponsorships start at only $250. Ads in our program book are also available starting at only $50.
