The Violence Prevention Center is an approved ICDVP training site for the 40-hour domestic violence training.  Completing this training is a crucial first step toward becoming an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional.   Domestic violence professionals facilitate this training and cover a variety of topics designed to offer a deeper understanding of the dynamics of partner violence and how to connect survivors with life-saving services.

Continuing Education Available

Licensed professionals can earn 40 continuing education (CE) hours while completing VPC’s 40-Hour Domestic Violence Training.

The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois is an IDFPR-approved Social Work Continuing Education Sponsor (License #159.011776). This training is approved for 40 CE hours for Illinois LSWs, LCSWs, LPCs, and LCPCs.

​

To receive continuing education credit, participants must complete the full training and all required attendance, evaluation, and assessment requirements. A continuing education certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
