Volunteer with the VPC

Your time and talents can help save lives.

At the Violence Prevention Center, we rely on dedicated volunteers to help us provide safe shelter, essential services, and hope to survivors of domestic violence. Whether you have a few hours a month or want to get involved long-term, there’s a place for you here.

The Shelter Shop

Give back by sorting donations, assisting customers, or helping keep our resale shop running smoothly. Your support at The Shelter Shop directly funds our programs for survivors and their families.

Join a Committee

Looking to share your skills in a bigger way? We have several committees you can serve on to help guide the mission and daily work of the VPC. Current committees include:

  • Endowment

  • Outreach

  • Shelter Shop

  • Property Management & Maintenance

  • Resource & Development

  • Membership & Bylaws

  • Human Resources

  • Finance

Volunteer at Events

Support us at community events, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns. From setting up and welcoming guests to passing out information or coordinating activities, event volunteers make our outreach possible.

Ready to Make a Difference?

Whether you want to volunteer at The Shelter Shop, join a committee, pitch in at an event, or find another way to help, we’d love to connect with you. Our team will work with you to match your interests, skills, and availability to the areas of greatest need.
