Empowering Youth, Preventing Violence

Providing tools to foster safe, respectful connections.

Breaking the cycle of violence begins by empowering the next generation. Our in-depth Youth Education and Prevention Programs are specifically designed to equip young people – from elementary school to young adulthood – with the critical knowledge, social-emotional skills, and confidence needed to cultivate healthy, respectful relationships and prevent dating violence and domestic abuse long before they start. We actively partner with schools, youth groups, parents, community group leaders, and educators across Monroe, Randolph, and St. Clair counties in Illinois to deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and impactful sessions within a safe, supportive learning environment.

Our programs extend beyond basic awareness, delving into essential topics such as healthy communication, consent education, setting boundaries, recognizing red flags in relationships, digital safety, online harassment, and the power of bystander intervention. We equip youth with the tools to identify and challenge harmful stereotypes, understand mutual respect, and confidently advocate for themselves and their peers.

We offer:

  • Safe Touch, Unsafe Touch Presentations for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade, teaching vital concepts about personal safety.

  • Domestic Violence/Teen Dating Violence Presentations for 7th through 12th grades, addressing the complexities of healthy relationships and abuse in age-appropriate ways.

  • The Safe Spaces Teen Talk Group for ages 12 and up at high schools. This confidential group provides a supportive environment for students to discuss these sensitive topics.

For educators and parents, we also offer resources and training to support these crucial conversations at home and in the classroom, fostering a community approach to youth violence prevention. By investing in our youth today, we are collectively building a future where every young person thrives in an environment free from violence, understanding their value and the importance of mutual respect.
