Take Action

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Every October, our community comes together for Paint the Town, a powerful campaign to shine a light on domestic violence and honor survivors. Through purple-themed displays, local business involvement, and community action, we work to raise awareness, break the silence, and connect those affected with life-saving resources.

Did You Know?

  • 3 out of every 4 people know someone impacted by domestic violence.

  • 20 people per minute experience intimate partner physical violence in the U.S. This equates to 10 million abuse survivors annually.

  • 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner.

Why It Matters

Domestic violence touches the lives of thousands in our community each year. Raising awareness is a crucial step in preventing abuse and supporting survivors on their path to healing. By participating in Paint the Town, you become part of a movement to foster safety, hope, and connection.

Spread the Word

Your voice online is powerful. This October, help raise awareness and show survivors they are not alone by sharing messages, images, and resources on social media. Sample captions:
