One of the biggest questions people have when they reach out to us is, “Will I be safe there?” We understand how hard it can be to trust a new place, especially if you’re leaving a dangerous situation. Your safety is our top priority—always.
Our emergency shelter is located at a secure, confidential address. We never share the location publicly. Only staff, residents, and trusted partners know where it is. This helps protect everyone who stays with us.
When you stay with us, you’ll have a private room for you and your children. Our shelter has locked doors and security measures in place. Staff are on site 24/7 to help keep you safe and make sure you have what you need, day and night.
We also know that feeling safe emotionally matters. Our advocates are trained to listen without judgment and to support you through whatever you’re facing. We’ll help you plan next steps and connect you with resources for housing, legal help, counseling, and more—all at your pace.
No one should have to choose between staying in harm’s way and not knowing where to go. If you have questions about safety or want to talk through your options, please call our 24-hour crisis line at 618-235-0892. We’re here to help you find safety—and hope.
