Other Ways to Give

"The proper aim of giving is to put the recipients in a state where they no longer need our gifts."  C.S. Lewis

Gifts to The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois from generous individuals like you allow us to provide life-saving services to those experiencing domestic violence and their children, FREE of charge.

There are a number of ways to give that can make a BIG impact on the lives of domestic abuse survivors.

Employee Giving

Several local and national employers allow employees to designate a charity of their choice for payroll deduction, matching gifts, and honorary gifts. Taking advantage of your company’s employee giving program allows you to assist survivors of domestic abuse in living their best life.

Recurring Gifts

Setting up a recurring donation on a monthly or quarterly basis help guarantee that those we serve will receive the best care and support daily. These types of contributions benefit both you and The Violence Prevention Center, as recurring gifts allow you to easily spread your support throughout the year and provide a steady and reliable income stream to support the survivors we serve.

To learn more or make a recurring gift visit the Peace Keeper page.

Fundraise for Us

Create your own unique fundraisers, such as a spaghetti dinner, trivia night, or golf outing, and donate the proceeds to The Violence Prevention Center. Events could be held by individuals, families, organizations, or corporations looking to share their time and talent to benefit domestic abuse survivors in our community.

The Violence Prevention Center will be happy to assist in brainstorming, planning, and promoting your event. Due to time conflicts, staff may not be available to attend or work the event. Contact Melissa to get started on your event today at 618-236-2531 or by e-mail.

Honor/Memorial Gifts

Celebrate an important milestone, such as a birthday or anniversary, or remember a loved one through an honorary or memorial gift to The Violence Prevention Center. Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to invest in the safety of survivors instead of material gifts. A letter will be sent to those you would like notified of your generosity.   To learn more about Honor/Memorial Gifts, reach out to Melissa at 618-236-2531 or by e-mail

Leave a Legacy

Leave a lasting legacy of love to The Violence Prevention Center through your will or other planned gift. A planned gift is a contribution arranged in the present and allocated at a future date, such as a bequest, revocable trust, or life insurance benefits.

Meet your financial goals while providing critical support to The Violence Prevention Center as we work to keep all survivors of domestic violence and their children safe. There are several gift options to consider, so please work with your lawyer and financial adviser to choose the best option.
